Post by karthik_j013 »

I wanted to know what is the maximum number of nodes we can use for a job? What is configuration file? Can we edit it? If yes how can we edit it?

You can keep on declaring additional nodes until your job start so many processes that the system is overloaded. The configuration files can be located just about anywhere and the attributes are well documented.

Configuration file is used to specify the number of nodes on which you can run a job .That means it process the data parallely ...But as mentioned by Arndw make sure that its not overloaded with processes .

Paralleism should be optimised not maximised :D
