OID Generation failed

Post by aaryabhatta »

Hi,

We have a job which loads multiple tables from different datasets.
On running the job the following error is logged in director for some of the oracle stages randomly. Error is not thrown for the same oracle stages. It is random.

ORA-21561: OID generation failed

No error logs available in oracle database for this error.
Can somebody let me know if they have faced the similar issue earlier and the solution applied to resolve the same or if you have some idea about this error?

Thanks in Advance!

Regards

I've never seen it and it hasn't been posted here before. Perhaps this might help?

While amusing, it was a legitimate attempt to help and hopefully that link actually yields some results for them. Seemed like it would to me when I checked the results it found.

Problem is not yet solved. We have done the basic homework but couldnt find much information on this.

Since no log is available in Oracle, I wonder if it has to do something with DataStage itself particularly reading from dataset.

Hard to say. Have you involved your official support provider yet?
