Deleting contents of &PH& folder

Hi

I have task for deleting the contents of the /dsadm/Ascential/DataStage/Projects/project_name/&PH& folder. that is i should leave 1 week of files and anything prior to that should be deleted. my question is, is it safe to delete the content? and i see different types of files, 1)RUN_33240_32344 File and 2) OSHMONITOR_23234 file, 3) STAGERUN_32423_32343 File. is it safe to delete this files?

Yes... as long as it's just "old" files as you've noted.

As per my experience I know that it can reduce the possibility of IIS jobs getting killed abruptly or getting corrupted. But does it help in increasing the performance in any way?
