Datastage C Stage Plugin function "Get" required

Post by sambarand »

I am trying to run a job that takes Oracle Stage, a sequential file stage and a transformer in between. When I run the job, I get the following error message:

"...Sequential_File_1.IDENT1: C Stage PlugIn function "Get" required.."

What can be the possible cause for this error?

So this is a Server job rather than a Parallel job? Which exact "Oracle stage" are you using?

In a Server job. I've only seen that error with the OCI8 stage and the 'solution' was to use the OCI9 (aka 'OCI') stage instead. What exact 7.x version are you running? Something older? :?

Thanks for your answer.

We have tried with Oracle OCI stage and getting the same error.

Any solution to fix this?

Can you unregister and re-register the stage from manager?

You didn't answer the 'version' question. I'd also be curious if this (Oracle connectivity) stopped working or has never worked.

We are using Datastage version 7.5.1.

I had an idea that custom stages can be registered/unregistered, can Datastage default stages also be registered/unregistered?
