Don't you think that, had a solution been found since 2008, it might have been posted?

Unfortunately, the only place "Unable to get Eobject" has been mentioned is in this thread. You'll need to take this to your official support provider, it seems.

Hi,
We have had the same problem.
Our problem is with DS version 8.0.1.
Problem was the backward compatibility of the clients (client version is not fixpack 2 compatible, but the server has fixpack 2 installaled).
Patch number to fix the problem is: patch_JR33177v4_xmeta_all_8012
IBM also has a seperate incident in their support database with a different solution:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.w ... ss=ct14db2
Hope it helps people who are still experiencing the problem
