Changing Scratch Disc Space to another Drive

Post by foryou »

We are having trouble with disk scratch space while running the job.

I have had a look at this seems to be a issue with our resource and scratch disk space.

It seams that we are currently pointing the resource and scratch disk space to a location on the D:/ where infoshepere application is installed which has very little free (less the 1%) space,

I think it would be better if we change the location the E:/ where there is currently 680 gig available.

Is this change as simple as changing the config file (depualf.apt) to just point to a new location on the E:/ or is there other impacts or side affects from doing this.

thanks

Yes, provided that you can get a keyboard that can spell.

depualf.apt is not the right name!

thanks Ray & chulett,

Looks like files are being purged from Scratch folder in every few days.

How can we edit or control this activity?

Find out who/what is doing the purging and negotiate with them... usually the SysAdmins would be the ones worrying about things like that.

Hi Chulett,

I have noted that scrach folder size is currently 1.2 GB.

Its not letting me to delete any files.

And? :?

Talk to the System Administrator responsible for the box. That can't be you.
