Hi,
Im not able to view the logs for any of the jobs in my project. When I try to view the job logs Im getting below error message:
"Error selecting from log file RT_LOG998
Command was: SSELECT RT_LOG998 WITH @ID LIKE '1N0N'COUNT.SUP
Error was: Unable to open DICT "RT_LOG998"

Im able to view 'monitor' for the jobs. And job status for all the jobs is either Finished(see log) or Finished.

Can any one help me out on this?

Regards,
MB

Any problems with the disk space where the projects are stored? Wondering if perhaps you ran out of space there and corrupted the repository. Another possibility is Anti-Virus, is that running on your server? We've seen it can eat things at times.

Chulett,
There is enough space on Datastage server. And anti-virus software is present from the beginning but we never faced this problem, Im planning to create new project and export the current code into that. Is there any way to rectify the above error rather than going for a new project.

Regards,
MB.

It says error in opening dictionary. So think it is rebuilding issue.

What about other logs?

Hi Srinivasan,
We also rebuild the indexes using DS.TOOLs but we are getting same error and it is same with all the jobs.

Did you check the permissions on the RT_LOG998 file?

Has someone deleted or changed the permissions on D_RT_LOG file?

It does NOT say error opening directory.

It says error opening dictionary - a completely different can of worms.
