Why not read the Installation Guide? You don't seriously expect people to type all of the steps into this forum for you, do you? :?

Nandela,

You must read and follow the Installation Guides posted in the documents that ship with the release. The installation of 8.0.1 is quite different than previous releases and has many different requirements due to the new WebSphere components. The setup is much more complex and requirements vary significantly depending on the hardware platform. The steps are also to numerous to re-iterate here.

My only recommendations are:
1) Go to release 8.1 instead of 8.0.1, it includes almost 300 bug fixes.
2) Do not attempt to "upgrade" from older versions of DataStage (7.5, etc.). Export all your jobs, custom routines and custom functions to DSX files for all your projects. Then load the exports into a clean installation of 8.1.
3) Read the Planning, Installation and Configuration Guide completely before starting the install.
4) Scan the "Migrating to IBM Information Server Version 8" as well - it has some good recommendations to make the process easier.

Even so, if you aren't familiar with WebSphere concepts and terms be prepared to re-install a few times until you get your configuration correct!

Good luck!
