Database stage for Oracle 9i Database

Database stage for Oracle 9i Database

We have oracle 9i at client place. In datastage 7.5 all DS server jobs are devloped by using DRS ( Dynamic RDBMS ) stage. I guess Oracle OCI 8 & Oracle OCI are not compatible with 9i ?


Also can you tell what are pros/cons of using Dynamic RDBMS stage ?

The OCI stage is definitely compatible with 9i and the OCI8 stage could interface with 9i via an 8i client. The 'dynamic' part of the DRS stage is the pro here with the ? parameter markers being the con. IMHO.
