Webconsole not connected

Unix admin restarted unix box where datastage 8.1 was landed. datastage engine was running automatically when rebooted the unix box. but not able to connect ds client and also not able to connect webconsole. I have stoped and restarted the DSEngine again. even though it is not working.
Is there anything to start from datastage/websphere side?

What errors do you get? Unable to access port 2809 is common.....when they restarted, perhaps openings they made in the firewall for particular ports were lost...... can you log into the unix machine and launch a local copy of a browser and get into the web console directly (should be http://<host>:9080/login.jsp)

You restarted DS server, but that doesn't mean your WebSphere App. Server is also restart properly.

If they are different machines also check that the ASB Agent is also running correctly.
