I am reading data into a sequential file with all columns specified as varchar. well in some records there are special characters which are causing them to be dropped( at seq file stage). i hhave enabled NLS, whch NLS map would handle all special charactes??? so that i can alteast read all records

Could you please supply the drop warning written to your job log?

Define "special characters".

I'm guessing yours is not an NLS issue.
