Desiger probem with vista

Hi,
I have installed datastage7.5 client in vista. Though i'm able to connect to the server, when i open transformer stage and try to edit the column metadata, then i'm unable to see the window (which popups when you want to select some routines/stage varaiables). I cant do any thing on the designer then, either i'm unable to close it. Only thing i have to kill the designer if i have to close.
What i found from google is that registry values have to be changed. Can any one pls suggest when changes are to be done.

Its not recommandable to use Datastage on Vista.
Even Vista doesn't support other softwares also.
Better change it to Windows 2000 Professional or XP Professional.

As noted, Vista is not supported. That being said, have you tried running the Designer in any of the compatibility modes? Right-click on the executable, Properties, Compatibility.
