Generate Reports

Hi,
Following are the queries :-

1)we have been able to get reports using report templates for
ADMINISTRATOR - logging, scheduling and security.

But , we are not able to get reports for DATASTAGE such as :-
- job run information for selected job.
- source and target details by database.

The SPECIFY PROJECT drop-down menu does not specify any project to be associated with the report.Is any configuration required.If so wat...?

2)Is it possible to generate custom reports ?
ex :-to generate report for log messages based on job name.

For job run information you need to collect the metadata - it isn't loaded into the metadata server automatically. When a DataStage job runs it write out an XML job report with operational metadata in it. The Metadata Workbench comes with a utility that uploads this metadata into the Metadata Server so you can run reports against it. You might also be able to find and run queries against the underlying repository tables. Not sure if it's all running in 8.0.1 but it is in version 8.1.
