Regarding &SAVEDLISTS&

I would like to what information will be stored in &SAVEDLISTS& folder.I saq like what ever i executed in datastage command line all the information is stored in &SAVEDLISTS& folder.If i delete those files it will affect the project.

can anyone please tell me what is the importance of this folder.
