When I try to Generate Report whether it be a job sequence, parallel or server job, I get a "No image available" on the Internet Explorer display. I have tried it with and without Pop-ups being blocked.

I do get a restriction security warning from running scripts or ActiveX controls in which I click to accept...still to no success of displaying the image.

When I view the folder where the report is located, there is no BMP file present but there is a number-generated BMP file (such as "./J235.bmp") within the HTML document of the job on the image source tag.

Any help would be appreciated!

Is that the case with everyone in your organization or just you on your PC?

It's only the case with me. My colleague can produce the bitmap.

I've been working on a DataStage project for 10 months now. In the beginning, the bitmap was produced. But up until the last 4-6 months, I can't get them to be generated. I don't know what I've done to cause the switch from getting them to not getting them.

Sounds like a classic Microsoft problem with dlls, etc - something else probably overwrote what DataStage needs. First suggestion would be to uninstall and then reinstall the client from your PC. Sometimes you have to do that 'with extrememe prejudice', meaning take alot of what seem like extra steps to clean things out and get back to a working setup.

1. Uninstall the client.
2. Remove any remaining Ascential directories.
3. Use 'regedit' to remove any Ascential key from the registry.
4. Reboot.
5. Reinstall the client.
6. Heck, reboot again for grins.

See if that helps.
