Is there anyway to restric users/developers to access DS Designer in PRODUCTION environment. We can't stop installing DS Designer on their local machines, as they do development in DEV environment.

DataStage security is set-up in DataStage Adminstrator (Permissions tab) where you would define a usergroup to DataStage Developer profile.

We allow developers read only access in production. We do this in UNIX permissions on the project directory. It can cause problems if they try to Save As on a job or Copy then it can lock \\NEXT... record in DS_JOBS which is a big problem.

Our Prod environment is read only (protected project). Developers are some times trying to open the jobs and endingup with locks.
