I have not used any teradata stages .
When i was reading the following link and documnets I undertsood Teradata Enterprise and Teradata Multiload invokes the teradata supplied utilities
http://blogs.ittoolbox.com/dw/soa/archi ... data-19417

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong .

And also I read somewhere (I don't remmber exactly where I read) only Teradata Multiload invokes the teradata supplied utilities and not EE , so getting confused

Thanks in advance for clarifying

The Teradata MultiLoad plug-in uses the external MultiLoad, TPump, and FastExport utilities.

The Teradata Load plug-in uses the external FastLoad utility.

The Teradata API plug-in uses the standard CLIv2 API.

The Teradata Enterprise stage doesn't use the external FastLoad and FastExport utilities, but it uses the same internal FASTLOAD and EXPORT partitions of the CLIv2 that those external utilities use. That is how it is able to achieve parallelism in an MPP configuration. The external utilities can only run sequentially (as a single process) although they can distribute the load across multiple sessions (connections).

The Teradata Connector uses the standard CLIv2 API for Immediate access and the TPT API for Bulk access.
