Basic Transformer Stage

Post by Vino_joe84 »

Hi,

There is only one transformer stage is avail in DS 8. But in document they have specified both transformer and Basic trasnformer stage is avail.

How do we get both these stage?

Do we have only one stage called transformer? Whether transformer can be changed to Basic transformer stage functionality in the parallel job?

You have to customize the palette and add the BASIC Transformer, it is not there by default.

If you go down to Stage Types on the repository you will find under parallel\processing a stage called BASIC Transformer. This can be added to you palette.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

1) We will have two different transformer stage in PX 8.
2) Once we customize the pallet we will get both transformer and Basic transformer.

Yes, you will have a standard transform stage and a BASIC transform stage. Once you add the BASIC transform stage to a category on your palette you will have both available to you with a mouse-click.

After going to the customize pallet option,

We are able to see only the transformer in the processing/ parallel folder.

We are not able to see the Basic transformer in the processing/ parallel folder.

Basic transformer is the separate PLUG-IN that needs to be bought or how do we install?

Drag it from the Stages category as mentioned above and drop it into the category of your choice.

Or don't put it in your Palette at all. You can drag any stage from the Stage Types branch of the Repository directly into your job design.
