precompilation

Could any one tell me what is happening during precompilation?
Just wanned to know tats y am asking...

Precompilation also happens in PX jobs so the question can stay in this forum. But I have to admit I don't know the details of exactly which components belong to the "precompile" phase. Quite a bit of the compile happens on the PC as well as on the DS server.

However this was one of a series of clearly server job questions, so presumably the interviewer was concentrating on server job knowledge.

i meant that i had clearly mentioned as server job only then what is the need to move to server forum... but i got it what u were trying to say n i had moved the same to server forum thanks ray..
