convert rows to single column

Gurus,

I have data as below

1 a
1 b
2 c

I wanted to convert it to

1 a b c

tried couple of stages but seems like reverse of pivot is not possible thru them.

Do you mean
1 a b
2 c

Search for "vertical pivot". It can be done.
