DB2 API using DB2 connect

Hi,

Can some provide info on connecting to DB2 on mainframe.

My Initial research reeals:
1) Need to have DB2 connect installed on Datastage Sever(7.5.2 on SunSolaris)
2)DB2 connect needs to be configured to register the catalogue to access DB2 tables.

I want to know if i am missing any steps and would like to know if there are any document /instruction guide on DB2 API using DB2 connect to DB2 on mainframe.
If some one has implemented the same what is the performance using DB2 API.

Any help is appreciated.

There is such a document, a thoroughly comprehensive one. It is available for the asking from your support provider. It is NOT available from DSXchange so please don't ask.
