Import meta data from different tables?

Hi,

Is it possible to define the column structure(meta data) in a file and then import it? if it is possible, then what is the structure of the file should be and how do i import that?

DataStage has many possible ways and formats to import metadata. If you try Import -> Table Definitions in the Manager you will get a long list of acceptable formats to choose from.

meta data can be imported from different tables from manager clicking on import plug in meta data definitions to select from corresponding databases and the tables

If you are asking if you can you put table definitions in a flat file (say, like DDL files) and import from there instead of the actual table - the answer is 'no'.
