ODBC connectivity issue.Pkg creation failed in bind20 cmd

Post by arvind_ds »

Hi DS Guys,
I have used odbc stage in my datastage job and it is not at all working. I am using datastage version 7.5.2 on AIX platform and my database is DB2 version 9.1, with DB2 wired protocol driver datadirect version 5.0. My Datastage server component and DB2 database are lying on the same machine. I have configured .odbc.ini file and uvodbc.config files as per the sample format provided in these two files. After configuring these two files, I am trying to bind the package from ../../../branded_odbc/lib directory using bind20 command but I am getting the below error message. "Package creation failed : error : 7505". MOreover I am not able to import ODBC table(column) definitions.

Please help.
Regards
Arvind

Talk to your DB2 DBA about why bind20 may have failed. This is a DB2 client command.

Hi Ray,

I dont see any answer, but that doesn't mean that the person who has asked this question has not got the answer, may be he might have figured it out and forgot to update in the forum.

We should always see both sides of the story.
simply being sarcastic doesn't help this forum or any one for that matter.

NO WONDER i see almost the same statistics all the time

In total there are 21 users online :: 6 Registered, 0 Hidden and 15 Guests

Most users ever online was 185 on Thu Apr 10, 2008 10:22 am

by now i had expected this forum to be a big success.

Try connecting during US business hours. The numbers are often higher than that.
