MKS Installation Error

Post by wahi80 »

Hi,
I have already installed Datastage Server 7.5X2 Windows on the server. All jobs have been imported and are working fine.
Now Im trying to install 7.5X2 Windows EE, when I try to install EE I get a message MKS installation error, and the setup exists.
Any idea how to solve this or the reason?

Thanks
Wah

Have you tried installing MKS separately?

When I install the Datastage Server, I can see in Add/Remove programs that MKS gets installed with it automatically
While installing the EE version the MKS installation halts at and setup exits.

How do I install MKS separately?

Thanks

Any idea how to resolve the issue

Is there any message from the MKS install? Does your site have non-standard or complex security?

Hi Wah,

Looks like mks tool kit is installed when you installed datastage 7.5x2 server.

My suggestion is uninstall every thing i mean realed to datastage.

Go with the fresh install. why not install parallel first give it a try.

let me know if you encounter any problem.

Thanks

Yes, uninstall everything. Then install the .NET C++ compiler. Then install DataStage, licensing both server and parallel jobs. MKS Toolkit should automatically install.
