Hi,
I have worked on DataStage for some time now and have connected to DB2, Orcale, SQL Server and Informix. I have received a new request to connect to IMS Database. Is it possible to read the data from IMS Database by using DS Parallel Jobs ? I want to take this route if possible as I am not comfortable with DS MVS Edition.

Not as far as I am aware. Support for IMS datasets and viewsets comes with Enterprise MVS edition (mainframe edition). If you want to connect from Enterprise edition (parallel jobs) I expect you'll need some kind of gateway product, or perhaps Federation Server.
