sybase connectivity problem with ds 8

hii,
i m getting some problem while creating tables in sybase database using sybase enterprise stage in ds8 version. can any one help me out is that version compatable with datastage 8..(plz let me know if anyone using sybase ASE as their database and how they r connecting)..
