Datastage PX Ports

Post by francois.blondel »

Hi all,

Does anyone knows which ports are used by datastage PX clients (admin, manager, designer, director) to connect an AIX datastage server.

Can these ports be changed?

Is there any documentation available regarding this point.

Thanks for your help.

Francois.

Hello Francois,

Port is 31538 ( configured in /etc/services on your AIX box ). This is default port and this can be changed by modifying in /etc/services the "dsrpcd" line. If changed, you need to add port number to server when using Designer, Director , etc... like
server:port number

You can find more help in installation guide.

Hope this help.

If you have DataStage installed on your PC, then you do have all of the manuals. You'll find a 'Docs' folder under your software install directory where all of those pdfs live. There is also a 'Documentation' link from the start menu.
