Two things. 1) Posting in ALL CAPS is considered SHOUTING. Please don't shout. 2) What did you find when you searched for your error message, for example "Failed to discover JobMonApp port"?

It is because DataStage Designer can not communicate with the performance monitor application (a separate Java application) that the row counts are unable to be displayed in Designer. If you set the indicated environment variable to the location of PXEngine, then DataStage Designer will be able to find the executables it needs to communicate with in order to discover the port number being used for communication between the two tools.

Therefore the solution, apparently, is to set APT_ORCHHOME. Its value should be ${DSHOME}/../PXEngine assuming you have DSHOME set.

Make sure your APT_ORCHHOME variabel is set correctly. Re-start your jobmoninit by issuing "sh jobmoninit start $APT_ORCHHOME".

We understood all of this from your first post. Did you try searching the forums? Everything the others have posted you would have found if you had as you're not the first to run across this problem.

Under the Diagram menu there is an option Show Performance Statistics. Do you have this selected?

Could not listen on port: 13400The socket name is already in use.
Could not listen on port: 13401

Hi,
Port 13400 has been taken by other application instead of DataStage's JobMonApp.
Issue a ps -ef | grep 13400 to see which application is using this port.
Kill the process for that port; then run sh jobmoninit start $APT_ORCHHOME from the java directory.
