First I would just like to clarify a coupld of things. If I am wrong and someone has manged to do this please let me know.

1) It is only possible to use DataStage v7x2 if you have installed MS VS C++ 2003 and is not possible with 2005 or 2008.

2) Is it possible to use MS VS 2003 C++ Express Edition or does it have to be the full edition.

I have had this working before using the full version of MS VS C++ 2003 but after a disk crash I have lost Visual Studio and can't now obtain it from anywhere.

Does anyone know where it is still possible to get hold of a copy of MS VS C++ 2003? Can't download it anymore and it seems I can only but it online from America as a box set.

Would be happy to buy it from anyone in Melbourne, Australia?

Thanks, Nick.

Visual Studio 2005 should work. I recently tried Visual Studio 2008 on 8.0 and it didn't work. I switched it back to 2005.

You can download Visual C++ 2005 edition. You don't have to pay for it.

1) Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition

2) Install Microsoft Platform SDK for Windows Server 2005 R2

Does C++ 2005 work with DataStage v7x2 though? Has anyone actually made it work?

Cheers

My experience is it has to be 2003 with 7.5.x2.
