Most vendors have tool specific certification since it is a straight forward examination of whether you know how to use the tool. You can for example get DataStage certification. Data Warehouse certification is more difficult since there are many ways to go about it and it's hard to come up with definitive questions and answers. The closest I've seen is a certification via the Data Warehouse Institute Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP). The exam can only be taken at a TDWI conference which for 2008 will take place in Chicago, San Diago, New Orleans and Amsterdam - so it's out of reach of most IT professionals.
The Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) credential is a true test-based certification program. The CBIP credential is offered in five key areas: Leadership and Management, Business Analytics, Data Analysis and Design, Data Integration, and Administration and Technology.

Also do not assume that if you get the certification, you will get a job.

There are folks like me asking hard questions that the certification tests do not test on.

That being said, there are three tests, one for DataStage, QualityStage, and Information Analyzer.
