Not able to connect to DB2 through Enterprise stage

Hi all,
previously my data stage server was connecting to a db2 8 server.Recently new db2 database(version 9) have been installed with the seperate db2 instance in the same machine where db2 8 was installed.So currently 2 database instances running in the same machine.
The db2 client which is installed in the data stage server machine is of db2 8 version. Now the db2 client in data stage server is cataloged db2 9 database.
We are using direct native connection for connecting to db2 database from data stage server.
I have made necessary changes in db2nodes.cfg file according to the new db2 9 database.
I can connect to db2 9 database through API stage but not able to connect through Enterprise stage.
Pls help.
