Check for file using Job Control code

Hi All,
I am really in need of the following :
I have a bunch of jobs that need to be triggered and executed when a file apperas in a FTP path. I am trying to do this via job control code. Does anyone know how to use DSWaitForFile job control command to check for an FTP file ? I am able to use this one for files in local server but not sure how to use it for FTP server.
If the above one doesn't work, i can think about using Wait for File stage. Again, i am not sure how to use this stage for an FTP file...
