permissions are fine...
space is plentiful...

Any idea why i would be getting this error?

Merge.Out_DimCoverage.AUDIT_Out_DimCoverage_Sort,1: Fatal Error: Could not create temp file for mmap(): K:/Scratch/tsortyZcUGEg4

Run your job for a portion of the data and see if the problem persists. We can take it from there.

Check the space available on the nodes.

Check permissions for scratch disk direcories, for the UVTEMP directory and for the /tmp directory.
