Is Dataset will allow to read .txt file

is Dataset can extract the data from .txt file? When the table definition is same as sequential file. I am new to DataStage PX.
No it cant.
Read up on the Sequential File Stage and DataSet stage in the parallel job developer's guide.
The usages and functionality of the two greatly differ.
