Date format

Post by Hope »

I have a Date column in the source table . I am doing a look up with this datecolumn in my source table with the Date column in another table. Both are in same format. As of know I have no warnings or errors. will I get any warnings in future production runs?.

Date is a data type, and has a specific internal format. They will remain comparable in production.

It is only when folks start converting their dates to incompatible string forms that comparisons fail.

Ah... thanks for a real answer. All that popped into my head when I saw that question was a Magic 8 Ball.

Will I get any warnings in future production runs?
