APT_Archive::BadVersion: From: Loading memory archive.

Post by satheesh_color »

Hi All,

I have one more abort from PX job says that:

Error Description from DS Log:

main_program: Fatal Error: Caught ORCHESTRATE exception in main program:
APT_Archive::BadVersion: From: Loading memory archive.

Contents of phantom output file =>DataStage Job 363 Phantom 9968

I could see the configuration File and APT_ORCHOME everything looks good and there is no modification in the above..is there any thing else i have to check for...Nothing other than this from my DS log.

Please help me on this issue.

Thanks & Regards,

Using any old DS version files in your current DS project?

Hi All,

I have a theory on this abort. I ran this as a test yesterday under v7.5.2. It leaves a file in directory /PX/Sort. I believe when we run the job in(7.5A) it is refusing the overlay that file because it was created in a later version.
So stop DS version v7.5A then start DS version v7.5.2
so i was able to delete the dataset, using the GUI tool(DataSet Management), from this directory. I'm sure the orchadmin tool would have worked fine as well.
Then we switched back to version 7.5A and the job completed successfully.
I believe that is the problem. We are upgrading to version 7.5.2 of DataStage but we are not changing the location of all of the files (/dstage/appl/sat, PX/Sort, etc.)

Thanks & Regards,
