Unlock issue

Post by xinhuang66 »

I got a problem to unlock a job.

when I go to director, and clean up resource file.

Then show all process, I can find a few processes under my ID. then I try to logout them, but failed, they are still there.

And If I click the process, and show locks by process. I found a few locks as well. then i try to release all.

These locks are still there.

anybody know how to fix them.

by the way, I couldn't find these PID in Unix as well. probably they were killed by somebody else.

thanks

Are you connected as a user who has administrative privileges (dsadm or root)?

Finally, I was told our group don't have the right to unlock jobs.

You should be able to do so for your own processes. :?

They are probably your own DS director processes that you are using to cleanup resources. you cannot kill them, but you can kill all the others that you own. probably you did already so the ones lefts belong to your DS director you are currently using.
Thanks,
Chad
