Looking for help on a function

Post by abc123 »

Every now and then, when I am looking for help on a function,
I cannot find it with a search in Help or any of the PDF files.
An example, would be CurrentDate or CurrentTime. Does anybody have
a solution for this?

Go into datastage help, go to the last tab Search and type Parallel Job Functions, hit 'List Topics'. It will give you a bunch of topics, click on Parallel Job Functions. It will give you a list on the righ hand side of all the parallel functions. Click on them and find them in the chart.
These are also present in Parallel Developers Guide.

If you look for help on CurrentDate and CurrentTime, you won't find it.

You are right. It does not have any documentation on those two functions. O well, CurrentDate() gives the current date and CurrentTime() gives the current time. If you need more info on them, search the forums.
