Any limit on number of sequential files created in one job ?

Post by sreelalpp »

Hello all,

Is there any limit specified by Datastage on the number of sequential files created by a single job ? Or is it only depending up on the size of the file system ?

Thank you,

There is no documented limitation on the number of files created by a job.
You can create as many as your file system allows.

Finding answers is simple, all you need to do is come up with the correct questions.

You can create any number of files as you want. There is no limitation. Could you please tell us your requirement.

As you observed, its not on the number of files, but it would be on the size of the file being generated. The OS would impost 2GB limit based on the file system.

If your doubt got cleared, you can mark the topic as resolved.
