Welcome to Dsxchange :D !!!!
Datastage will do it for you, if you have the metadata specified correctly. If its Mainframe Ebcidic file, Specify the COBOL copy in the CFF stage to extract that.
Impossible doesn't mean 'it is not possible' actually means... 'NOBODY HAS DONE IT SO FAR'
