Floating Point Decimal

Post by m_siddu2000 »

Iam getting the following message as follows:

DRS_Samp_Status_OE: Column SAMP_STATUS_ID floating point decimal is not fully supported; adjusting the scale.

How to resolve this?

Its just letting you know that the incoming data is not what is defined. Fix the length and precision and you should be fine.

Not necessarily. The message simply informs you that "true" floating point is not fully supported in DataStage parallel jobs; only a limited amount of precision is possible. Plenty, but limited. Use a message handler to demote this message to informational.
