Hi All,
I am preparing for DS certification.
I want to know whether theres a separte for server and parellel edition?
or a common DS certificate?.

There is no certification for server edition, only for parallel jobs version 7.5.x. You can find certification resources at

http://www-03.ibm.com/certify/certs/iisdwsdev75.shtml )I got to know you should have 75 ans correct out of 79. That comes around 95%. But you mentioned you picked up 88%.
How is that? What is the minimum passing score required?

Passing is 75% of the points allowed. The questions do not all have the same point value.
