Sybase table locked

We've encountered a problem with one of our jobs that selects data from Sybase via an ODBC stage. Although the job appears to complete succesfully with no warnings, and the results appear valid, the dba claims that the source table is locked up after the job completes.

Has anyone else experienced this type of behaviour?

I just found out that after further analysis the DBA believes this to be an issue unrelated to DataStage.

If you trying to do Insert/Update on a Sybase table with default Page Level locking, then this is possible.
In that case u need to change the table lock to Row level.
