Script to assign default value to an ENVIRONMENT Variable?

Post by bandish »

Hi,

Can we write a script to assign default value to Datastage ENVIRONMENT variables?

If yes, then is it a good practice or not ?

Normally, Datastage ENVIRONMENT variables are used to Override the default values at project level or at job level. Usually these values are True or False and some variables required Numeric values and some Paths of the specific value.

I think, it is not possible to pass the script as a parameter to override the default value.
