Login to the Server where DataStage Server is Install.

Then . . . Control Panel

You will see the Icon for Ascential . . .click on that

There should be a Stop and Start Service

Hope that help!!

There is this help in pdf

Windows servers only.

You may need to stop or restart the DataStage server engine , for example, when you want to shut down the server.

To stop the server engine:

Close all DataStage clients.

Log on to the DataStage server as a member of the Windows Administrators group. Choose Start > Settings > Control Panel > Services to display the Services dialog box.

Select DataStage Engine Resource Service, then click Stop. The Stopping dialog box notifies you that DataStage Telnet Service will also be stopped. Click OK.

Select DSRPC Service, then click Stop.

To restart server engine:

Log on to the DataStage server as a member of the Windows Administrators group. Choose Start > Settings > Control Panel > Services to display the Services dialog box.

Select DSRPC Service, then click Start.

If Startup is not listed as Automatic, click Startup..., then click the Automatic option button. This ensures that the service restarts automatically whenever the server is rebooted.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 for DataStage Engine Resource Service, and DataStage Telnet Service.

Check that all services do, in fact, restart. For example the dsrpc service may not start if there are still connections from before you stopped the services (you can check with netstat).
