Hil,

We have installed the Java Pack Plug in and are able to see the Java Client & Java Transformer stage in the palette under Real Time.When I try to drag this stage on the Parallel Canvas, it throws the message " (40906) Unable to create new object".

(Need for this is that we want to read from an Excel sheet directly from within Datastage on UNIX)

Any help on this and the Java stages will be very useful.

Did you install the client GUI as well as the plug-instage on the server? Have you read the PDF file that comes with the Java PACK?
