Designer hang-up while trying to open a ODBC Stage.

Hello guys

DataStage Designer is hanging up when i tried to double click or Right-click--->Properties on a ODBC Stage.

I have gone through our forum search. I found couple of threads with the similar issues, but those threads are addressing problem for the Sequence Jobs.

The resolution they told in the thread is that, we have a patch to install on a client machine which are running on Windows XP SP-2.

Is it the same resolution for this issue or any others faced the similar issue.

I also reinstalled the client on my PC, but no luck.

If there are any patches, Please let me know form where i should download them.

One possibility may have to do with patches. Check with product support and with the download site if available to make sure that you have all the DataStage patches that have been issued. I believe there is also something specific with Windoze XP as you mention in your post. We had an issue with the developer just disappearing and after installing the patch, the problem has gone away.
