I don't have time to try it, but I'd probably use the "Generate Chunk" check box option, and then experiment with the Nested Chunk tab (text option). If that fails, then just send your xml downstream as a "chunk" and concatenate the simpler header to the front of it in a Derivation.

You send your xml string downstream by having a single column on the output link, make it a long varchar and put a single "/" in the Description.
