Hi Mike,
can you explore little bit about changing settings of autopurge,
I have done the same changing it to 2 days, but it didn't work for me.
what is the process exact setting being changed to solve this issue.

Note that the change only gets triggered after a job runs; that means you could change a job to 2 days that has weeks worth of log information, but that log won't get purged until after the job runs again.

but by changing this some times, job status in detailed log is Finished.
but view status shows old run status, not at all triggered.

Fyi the patch I applied is: JR30015v3
This does depend on your OS as stated before, but have the support person look this up for your environment.
