auto clear log

This thread began with the topic "auto clear log", morphed through clearing &PH&, and is now talking about clearing the status file.

These are all different things, people!!!

And there are different techniques for clearing them.

Which do you want to clear, and why? Would it be enough to have a utility to reset a job's log auto-purge settings to the project default?
